Europe aims for fourth straight title at Ryder Cup on TSN

TORONTO – With Team USA seeking revenge following three consecutive victories by Team Europe, the best golfers from the United States and Europe do battle in the 2016 RYDER CUP, live on TSN from Sept. 30 – Oct 2. Canada’s Sports Leader heads to Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minn. to deliver live coverage of the prestigious biennial tournament across three days of world-class competition, one of the 60+ iconic championship events that live on TSN.

TSN golf analyst Bob Weeks is on-site at Hazeltine National Golf Club to contribute frequent RYDER CUP news updates, previews, interviews, and complete post-round analysis across multiple platforms, including SPORTSCENTRE and TSN.ca.

The action begins with fourball (two-man teams in better ball competition) and foursome (two-man teams in alternate shot play) competitions, teeing off Friday, Sept. 30 at 8:30 a.m. ET on TSN. The RYDER CUP culminates with singles matches on Sunday, Oct. 2 at 12 noon ET on TSN (see below for complete broadcast schedule).

The European team, captained by Darren Clarke, includes three of the Top 10 players in the World Golf Rankings, including Rory McIlroy (3), Henrik Stenson (5), and Danny Willett (10). On the heels of Team Europe’s three-peat in the 2010, 2012, and 2014 competitions, the team looks to secure its seventh championship in the last eight RYDER CUP events.

Led by captain Davis Love III, Team USA features four of the Top 10 players in the World Golf Rankings, including Dustin Johnson (2), Jordan Spieth (4), Patrick Reed (8), and Rickie Fowler (9), as well as #15-ranked Phil Mickelson.

Leading into the competition, TSN tees up its live coverage with the ACURA AT THE MAJORS: RYDER CUP PREVIEW SHOW. Hosted by Bob Weeks and Mark Zecchino, this 30-minute preview show breaks down each squad and looks ahead to all the biggest storylines heading into the RYDER CUP, airing Wednesday, Sept. 28 at 1:30 p.m. ET on TSN4.
