Phil Mickelson hasn’t won a PGA Tour event since 2013 but he says that he is ready to win again during the 2017-18 season.
Mickelson recently said:
I’m going to win. It’s a matter of time,” Mickelson said. “I don’t know if it’s (Sunday), I don’t know if it’s in China (at this month’s WGC-HSBC Champions), but it’s going to happen. It’s going to happen soon because I’m starting to play well enough to do it.
To put his drought in perspective, Tiger Woods has won more that Mickelson since 2013.
Mickelson did get off to a great start this season finishing tied for third last weekend at the Safeway Open so its not as if his game has slipped dramatically.
Mark Zecchino and Bob Weeks discussed Mickelson’s chances of winning this on Golf Talk Canada.
