Tiger Woods wins The Masters
Tiger Woods with a win for the ages at Augusta.
It was a historical day in Augusta, Georgia as Tiger Woods completed the greatest comeback in the history of sports by winning The Masters.
Woods finished the tournament at 13-under par and was able to hold off Dustin Johnson, Xander Schauffele and Brooks Koepka who all finished tied for second at 12-under.
Heading into the final round, Franceso Molinari held a two-shot lead over Woods but he faltered on the 12th hole when he sent his tee-shot into the water for a double bogey while Woods made par on the hole which put him into a tie for the lead.
Some of the young guns of golf including Patrick Cantlay and Schauffele briefly held a share of the lead but with the crowds backing Woods, it seemed almost inevitable he would win.
The win earned Woods his fifth green jacket and his first since 2005. This was also Woods first win at a major since the 2008 US Open ending an 11-year drought.

After multiple neck, back and knee surgeries it looked as those Woods’ career was over. However, after winning the Tour Championship at East Lake back in September and solidifying his comeback it seemed it was only a matter of time before he was able to capture another major.
