The Masters 2017: 3 Observations From Round One
Round one of the Masters has wrapped up with Charlie Hoffman out in front with a four shot lead over William McGirt. Hoffman shot a seven under par 65 leaving the rest of the field in his rear view mirror.
The biggest story of the day was of course Dustin Johnson withdrawing on the first tee with back issues and so Hoffman’s blazing start has flown somewhat under the radar.
There are some big names in the hunt after the first round with the likes of Sergio Garcia, Phil Mickelson and Justin Rose all shooting one under par and are six shots off the lead heading into round two.
Mark Zecchino and Bob Weeks provided their three observations from round one live from Augusta.
