Vegas repeats as RBC Canadian Open champ

Another memorable RBC Canadian Open has come and gone.

Jhonattan Vegas played some clutch golf over the final two rounds to clinch his second consecutive Canadian Open. Vegas joins an exclusive fraternity of repeat champs in Canada which includes Jim Furyk in 2007-08, Jim Ferrier in 1950-51 and the great Sam Snead in 1940-41.

It was Vegas’ putting on the final day that helped him edge past a surging Charlie Hoffman in a playoff to secure the title.

Golf Talk Host Mark Zecchino had this great call on the Vegas birdie putt on the 13th hole.
