Sergio Garcia temper tantrums continue

Sergio Garcia is up to his old antics once again.

Just a few weeks ago at The Open in Ireland, Garcia was seen tossing his driver in the direction of his caddie after a poor tee shot at Royal Portrush.

New video has now surfaced of Garcia having another outburst on the 16th hole at TPC Southwind at the WGC-FedEx St. Jude where he was seen smashing his driver in the tee box after another poor shot.

“I think he deserves to be suspended and to take a little time-out” said TSN-Golf Talk Canada analyst Bob Weeks.

This isn’t the only time this year that Garcia has had a meltdown on the golf course.

Back in February, Garcia was disqualified from a tournament in Saudi Arabia after it was reported that he damaged a green by dragging his foot and leaving a divot on purpose as well as having an outburst in a bunker in a separate incident just a few holes later.

According to Golf.com, Garcia apologized at the time and said he was dealing with some personal issues off the course that led to his actions.

“I received some very emotional, personal news earlier that week that didn’t help,” the 39-year-old Spaniard said. “It was in the back of my mind. As I became frustrated on the course everything erupted.”

“I’m sure some of them aren’t going to be happy about it,” Garcia said. “We all make mistakes and I’m the first to admit it. “The only thing I can do is apologize. I’m going to work hard to behave the best way possible. Show everyone that not only am I a good golfer, I’m a good person.”

No word yet from the USGA or PGA if Garcia will be sanctioned for his latest antics in Memphis.
